Buffalo Born

A born and raised Buffalonian, Steve is proud of his roots and takes an active role in the community. A graduate of City Honors School in the heart of the city, the newly finished fitness center at City Honors bares his name.

March 10, 2010 was proclaimed "Steve Mesler Day" in the city of Buffalo and that same evening Steve lived out a childhood dream by dropping the puck at a ceremonial faceoff before a Buffalo Sabres game.

On November 9, 2011 Steve was inducted into the Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame. Joining local legends such as Ruben Brown and Jim Lorenz that evening, the induction places Steve into an elite category of a rich sporting history within the community.
